Derek Green

Derek joins the Reporters Committee as the McCormick Legal Fellow after almost five years of legal practice as a commercial

and media litigation attorney with the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine. Derek has also served as a judicial law clerk with the

Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and, prior to law school, worked as both a business consultant and AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer.

Derek received his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 2004, where he served as an Executive

Editor for the Washington Law Review, and his bachelor of arts degree from Pomona College in 1998.
