J.C. Derrick

J.C. Derrick is a senior at the University of Texas at Arlington, majoring in journalism with a minor in political science. He is in D.C. this fall as a Bill Archer Fellow, a University of Texas System program.

J.C. spent the last two semesters as the administration reporter for UT-Arlington's daily newspaper, The Shorthorn, after previously serving as the executive editor of the school newspaper at Kilgore College, The Flare.

He also has nine years of writing experience for the Longview News-Journal, a regional newspaper in East Texas.
