The First Amendment Center reports that a federal trial court in Virginia refused to grant summary judgment for a county school board who barred a reporter from school property. Earl F. Cole, a newspaper reporter, alleges in his suit that his ban from school property is retaliation for an article he wrote criticizing a school board member for sending his child to a school outside his district. The school board announced its ban just three days after the article ran.
