Responding to a complaint from Reps. John Dingell (D-Mich.) and Rosa DeLaura (D-Conn.), the Federal Communications Commission is investigating whether certain television analysts did not properly disclose their military connections when they discussed the Iraq war on air, according to U.S. News and World Report.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces heard oral arguments Wednesday on whether CBS must give the government un-aired footage of an interview with a Marine staff sergeant who faces manslaughter charges.

Staff Sergeant Frank Wuterich was leading a marine convoy near Haditha, Iraq, in November 2005 when they killed 24 Iraqi citizens, including men, women and children as young as 2 years old, in the aftermath of a roadside bomb explosion. Wuterich was subsequently charged by the U.S. government with dereliction of duty and voluntary manslaughter.

The largest online library of U.S. Army manuals and publications will restore public access to its site within the next two weeks, after it was put behind a password-protected firewall Feb. 6.

A major from the U.S. Army said in a Feb. 21 e-mail to the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) that service to the Reimer Digital Library will resume to the way it was before Feb. 6 when a system security upgrade was installed.
