Eight Bell, Calif., city officials were arrested last week on corruption charges after public records requests and a subsequent investigation by the Los Angeles Times revealed government corruption and prompted a larger investigation by the Los Angeles County district attorney.

New Hampshire Supreme Court extends Right-to-Know Law

The New Hampshire Supreme Court on Friday unanimously supported the state's Right-to-Know Law and ordered a private organization that represents public agencies to release its salary information, The Associated Press reported.

When reporters at USA Today asked the U.S. Military Academy at West Point for records indicating the salary of head football coach Stan Brock, Army Brigadier Gen. Belinda Pinckney just said no, the paper reports today.

U.S. Army spokeswoman Mary Keeney told USA Today, "We asked the school if they wanted it released, and they said no."
