9. Confidential informants.

OIP has determined that the identity of confidential informants should not be disclosed, and if such information is part of investigation records that otherwise are subject to disclosure, information that reveals the identity of confidential informants should be segregated from the records disclosed.  Disclosure of Closed Police Investigation Reports, OIP Op.
