Under Ind. Code § 5-14-3-4(b)(1), access to investigatory records of law enforcement agencies may be provided or denied at the agency’s discretion. However, under Ind. Code § 5-14-3-5, certain law enforcement information must be made available. This includes information about an individual who is arrested or jailed and also police logs of crimes, accidents and complaints. Criminal intelligence information is confidential under Ind. Code § 5-2-4-6.
