Nebraska law does not generally close juvenile court proceedings to the public, but does restrict access to various records relating to juvenile proceedings. In delinquency proceedings pursuant to Neb.Rev.Stat. §43-247(3)(b) (Reissue 2008), pleadings, orders, decrees and judgments are public documents, but medical, psychiatric, and social welfare reports and the records of juvenile probation officers as they relate to individual proceedings in juvenile court are confidential.
