The Alaska Supreme Court has recognized the intrusion tort, but only in a non-binding part of an opinion. A federal court recognized a false light claim.

Misappropriation: A North Pole expedition paid for by a news service was a matter of public interest that photographers not employed by that news service had a right to record. Smith v. Suratt, 7 Alaska 416 (D. Alaska 1926).
