Coalition of Journalists for Open Government

The Coalition of Journalists for Open Government was an alliance of more than 30 journalism-related organizations concerned about secrecy in government and the increasing closure of public records and meetings at all levels of government. Most of the coalition partners have individual freedom of information programs. As coalition members, they share information, coordinate activities, and, when appropriate, combine efforts and resources in the fight for open government. The coalition ended operations in 2008. Contact the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press at (703) 807-2100 for more information. The coalition's archive of information items, news reports and research projects are now hosted on this site.
