Jamie Schuman

Jamie graduated from The George Washington University Law School in May 2013. She also has clerked for the Parole Division of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and the Civil Division of D.C. Law Students in Court, and represented clients before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals as a student attorney in GW’s Federal, Criminal, and Appellate Clinic. Prior to law school, she covered the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for The Herald-Sun (N.C.) and wrote for The Chronicle of Higher Education, the Palo Alto Weekly and the Center for Public Integrity. She earned a master’s degree in journalism at Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in English at Yale University, where she was news editor of the Yale Daily News. She was also a legal intern at the Reporters Committee in Fall 2011.
