Luis Ferre Sadurni

Luis A. Ferre Sadurni, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a journalism intern at The Reporters Committee. He is a rising senior at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is majoring in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) and minoring in Journalistic Writing and French Studies. At Penn, Luis is a senior writer at The Daily Pennsylvanian, the university’s independent, student-run newspaper. He is also the interview editor of the Penn Political Review and the president/founder of Tertulia: Spanish Literary Society.

Before interning at Reporters, Luis spent his freshman summer as a congressional intern for Rep. Pedro Pierluisi (D-PR) and his sophomore summer as a research assistant to Prof. Amy Offner of Penn’s Department of History. He plans to work in journalism or political consulting after graduating before pursuing a law degree. In the long-run, Luis plans on returning to Puerto Rico and getting involved in the island's creation of effective public policy.
