Joey Oteng

Policy Intern

Joey Oteng is a summer 2020 Policy Intern at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.

Prior to joining the Reporters Committee, Joey worked as the Assistant Director for Orientation & Transition Programs at Otterbein University. Hailing from Ohio, Joey is a rising 2L at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. While in law school, Joey serves as an Admissions Fellow, Student Bar Association Vice President, and a Research Assistant focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice initiatives in the legal profession.

Before law school, Joey earned his bachelor’s degree in Religion and Biology from the University of Vermont, and his master’s degree in education focused on college student affair from Kent State University. Outside of work, Joey spends his free time on his personal blog, freelance photography, social justice & leadership workshops, volunteering with the public library, and keeping up with pop culture.
