Tony Mauro
Tony Mauro is Supreme Court correspondent for The National Law Journal, American Lawyer Media, and law.com.
He has covered the Supreme Court for 31 years, first for Gannett News Service and USA Today and then, since January 2000, for Legal Times and now for The National Law Journal, which merged with Legal Times in 2009. He also writes for NLJ’s new newsletter Supreme Court Insider. And he reports on the Supreme Court’s First Amendment docket for the Freedom Forum online.
He is author of Illustrated Great Decisions of the Supreme Court, published in its second edition in 2005 by CQ Press. Mauro has served on the Steering Committee of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press since 1984, and in 2011 was inducted into the Freedom of Information Act Hall of Fame, in recognition of his work promoting greater public access to the courts and other institutions.
