The publishers of the Austin American-Statesman, the San Antonio Express-News and the Houston Chronicle sued the Texas Department of Public Safety, claiming the agency refused to release copies of travel vouchers submitted by Gov. Rick Perry’s security detail. The requests included records of trips to the Middle East and Turkey and another for all out of state trips over a five year period. (12/3/07)
