More than 4,000 journalists across the country have signed a statement in support of colleagues cited for contempt by federal courts and for the tradition of a reporter’s privilege – the right to protect the confidentiality of sources of information. The statement and signatures are being made available for publication as regional, full-page newspaper advertisements by the Newspaper Association of America and can be seen and downloaded by clicking on the headline above.
