The record of attorney general nominee Alberto Gonzales reveals a tendency to strictly limit the flow of executive branch information, The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press says in an extensive review of his record both in Texas and Washington. The Reporter’s Committee also said Gonzales is not likely to alter the controversial John Ashcroft memo aimed at restricting the release of information under the Freedom of Information Act.
