The head of the Virginia Senate’s Freedom of Information Advisory Council is proposing a bill that would allow state agency boards to meet by phone or video conferencing most of the time. The proposed law would also cut the required notice of those meetings from a month to one week. The bill would not affect local governments. (1/9/05)
