A committee of the Arizona Senate has approved naming a public records advisor to respond to citizens’ inquiries with informal advice and advisory opinions about whether public bodies and agencies can deny access to meetings and records. The committee amended the original bill to delete a provision that allowed state and local government agencies to also make inquiries. (2/25/05).
