Connecticut Gov. M. Jodi Rell said he will veto a bill that exempts lawmakers’ e-mails from the state Freedom of Information law. The legislation was adopted by the General Assembly in the final minute of its 2005 session by a 145-2 vote in the House and then by a 31-5 vote in the Senate. “This is a brazen attempt to skirt the law,” the governor said.
