Michigan’s attorney general is investigating a county commissioner in Lapeer after a Flint Journal report, based on records obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, showed the official had billed for reimbursement of 3,500 miles driven to meetings he didn’t, in fact, attend. The official says it was a computer error. (2/9/06)
