Sorry, but if you want to know anything about endangered salmon, you’ll have to contact Washington. That’s where the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration three official salmon information minders await in bureaucratic waders. Seems several NOAA scientists involved in the agency’s protection program said some things to reporters the administration didn’t like. So it issued a directive to route all media inquires to three political appointees inside the Beltway. (5/31/06)
