Sealed court documents recently made public show that government attorneys “overcensored” information related to the FBI’s request for subscriber and billing information on Connecticut library computers in 2005 when the matter went to court. The documents, ordered released by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, included a clipping from the New York Times, portions of a Supreme Court decision, and the identity of one of the plaintiffs.
