Judge: Release Information on Vice President’s Visitors

A federal judge has ordered the Bush Administration to release information about visitors to Vice President Dick Cheney’s office and personal residence. The Washington Post began researching access lobbyists and others had to the White House in June and requested visitor logs for the past two years. The Secret Service refused the request, claiming executive privilege. U.S. District Judge Ricardo M. Urbina said the Secret Service must produce the records or at least identity them and justify why they are being withheld. (11/1/06) .
