Judges Override State Laws, Allow Access for Exit Pollsters

Federal judges in Florida and Nevada ruled that exit polls could be conducted within 100 feet of polling places. A federal judge in Ohio, who had previously struck down Ohio rules barring survey taking, refused to “clarify” revised guidelines that say polling is legal but set out standards the media considered ambiguous.
