The New York State Assembly, responding to public reaction to its long-standing practice of not disclosing the sponsors of pet projects and a threat by Governor-elect Eliot Spitzer to veto spending not made public, said it make publish a full list of pork-barrel spending projects and their sponsors. The State Senate is expected to follow suit. (11/27/06)
