The National Reconnaissance Office indicated it will drop its opposition to a Federation of American Scientists FOIA request for budget justification documents. A federal court ruled in July that the agency must release the records but the NRO filed an appeal notice in September. FAS then filed a motion to compel; prompting the agency to advise that it would withdrew the appeal and said it would turn over the records. (12/21/06)
