Corps of Engineers Restricts Access to Flood Maps

The Corps of Engineers is restricting access to Cumberland River flood maps, the Louisville Courier-Journal reports. The Corps is making maps available in several libraries downriver from the leaking Wolf Creek Dam but the libraries must sign an agreement not to allow the maps to be copies. And it told the newspaper it must submit a Freedom of Information Act request and would probably be directed not to publish the maps on its website if released. (2/5/07)
