A probe of grand jury leaks begun a year ago at the direction of a federal judge in Southern California has evolved into a criminal investigation on who gave classified information about a Chinese espionage case to Washington Times reporter William Gertz, the New York Sun reported. Judge Cormac Carney said in a recent order the probe now involves possible violations of the Espionage Act. (3/15/07)
