Former Army scientist Stephen Hatfill’s lawsuit against the federal government looms as the next court battle that could result in jail time for reporters, the New York Sun reports. Hatfill’s attorneys have asked Judge Reggie Walton to allow them to issue new subpoenas to the journalists who covered the federal anthrax probe in 2001 when Hatfill was named as a person of interest. Hatfill’s lawyers want to names of the reporters’ sources. (4/18/07)
