The decision by the federal court in South Florida to remove plea agreements from court records posted online has prompted criticism from some defense lawyers and a journalism advocacy group. The chief judge said the ban was in response to a request from the defense bar, apparently the result of the posting of the names of informants and undercover agents by a website that mined the records for the information.
