The search for missing White House e-mails in the controversy over the Justice Department’s dismissal of eight U.S. attorneys has spilled over to 17 agencies. Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA, has asked the 17 to inventory their e-mail archives and provide summaries of any e-mail records involving the White House. The inquiry is also raising questions about record-keeping, archiving and the use of commercial services for government work. (5/1/07)
