Steve Prator, the sheriff in Caddo Parish in Louisiana is throwing the book open on the local correctional center. He’s posting booking information, including a photo, physical description, charges, bond details and prior arrests on every person being housed in the local hoosegow. Prator says he sees multiple benefits to the transparency, including letting victims know if their offender is in or out of jail. (5/2/07)
