A Saratoga, CA., couple filed suit against Santa Clara County law enforcement agencies for denying citizens access to public records. But the couple doesn’t claim they were refused access. Rather they claim harm as taxpayers, saying they object to tax dollars being spent to obstruct the law. A Superior Court judge has accepted the unusual pleading. (6/12/07)
