Seattle Congressman Wants to Refine Classification Process

Washington State Rep. Dave Reichert, a former sheriff, thinks the federal government’s fetish for secrecy threatens the nation’s security, and said he hopes to develop legislation to simplify the classification system, the Seattle Post Intelligencer reports. Reichert said his primary interest is to help law enforcement get the information it needs. (7/26/07)
