Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan told the state’s newspaper editors she is compiling a detailed list of access abuses of the state’s open records law and plans to use the data to develop a package of legislative reforms for lawmakers to consider. She urged the editors to form alliances with other groups advocating open government to push for the changes. (9/24/07)
