Federal Judge Thomas C. Platt rejected a motion by the Hearst Corp. to unseal an affidavit that would have revealed the names of “dozens” of professional baseball players who allegedly purchased steroids from a former New York Mets batboy. Judge Platt said, “There is no tradition of public access to the names of unindicted third-parties.” (9/25/07)
