U.S. District Judge Dee Benson said the Constitution does not give reporters the right to watch interviews or have other access to an active mine safety investigation. He rejected a request by the Associated Press and other media organizations to observe interviews being conducted by the Mine Safety and Health Administration into the Crandall Canyon cave-in in Central Utah.
