A committee charged with insuring that the State Department provides a “thorough, accurate and reliable documentary record” of United States foreign policy says its task is being make difficult, if not impossible, by continuing classification of historical intelligence information. The committee urged new policies that respect the right of the American people to be fully informed on how foreign policy has been conducted, Secrecy News reported. (11/1/07)
