From the Associated Press:

A hearing on a suit to open legal proceedings for one of the Jena 6 should not be postponed, attorneys for news organizations seeking such access said in motions filed Monday.

District Judge J.P. Mauffray, in court filings last week, asked District Judge Thomas Yeager to dismiss the news organizations’ lawsuit seeking full access to Mychal Bell’s case. He wants that motion heard before Yeager considers other requests….

The Associated Press and 24 other news organizations want permission to attend hearings in Bell’s case, and review transcripts of previous hearings and other court records.
