The Federal Railroad Administration is now posting of major train accidents on its Website for the first time, reducing the need for people to submit Freedom of Information Act requests to get the information. FRA Administrator Joseph Boardman said “There’s no reason that anyone who’s interested shouldn’t be able to find out the probable cause of a train accident.” Reports from 2005 through the first quarter of 2007 have been posted so far.
