The joint Senate-House ethics committee let die a bill that would have exempted state contractors from the state’s Freedom of Information Act. Rep. Christopher Caruso and Sen. Gayle Slossberg, co- chairs of the committee, adjourned the committee meeting without taking up the bill, effectively blocking action this session.
