The White House has come up with a new legal strategy in its efforts to hold back records on visits of now-imprisoned lobbyist Jack Abramoff. It claims a number of the records sought involve “sensitive security information” on Secret Service methods used to provide presidential protection, and therefore cannot be revealed.   The White House also wants to consolidate two related cases, which would put the case in the hands of a judge recently appointed by President Bush.   (12/3/07)
