After 10 Years, Federal Agencies Still Not Complying with EFOIA

Ten years after Congress enacted the Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments, only one federal agency in five is in compliance with the law, according to a new survey by the National Security Archive. E-FOIA ordered federal agencies to post key records online, provide citizens with detailed guidance on making information requests, and to use new information technology to publish information proactively. But most federal agencies do not follow the law, the National Security Archive reported in a report, “File Not Found.”
