A new Arizona law allows the 10-year-old state Ombudsman-Citizens’ Aide Office to get involved in public records and open meetings disputes. The office will offer both informal and advisory opinions to both requesters and officials, and conduct a formal investigations to determine whether a local government is entitled to withhold the records requested.
