Andrew Coffman

Andrew Coffman is the Reporters Committee's staff attorney in Mississippi, leading the organization's legal work in the state as part of the Local Legal Initiative.

Coffman joins the Reporters Committee from the law firm Phelps Dunbar, LLP, where he has worked since 2020 litigating cases related to defamation, intellectual property infringement, and more. A graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, Coffman previously served as senior associate general counsel for the Tennessee Department of Health and as a senior associate attorney for the law firm King & Ballow. He is based in Tupelo.
