Marguerite Nutter

Senior Manager of Development

Marguerite Nutter is the Reporters Committee's Senior Manager of Development and is responsible for individual giving and donor stewardship.

Marguerite has spent the bulk of her career in fundraising and development with nonprofit news organizations. She previously worked at NPR, where she was the liaison between the network and public radio stations in the top 25 media markets. At WAMU, NPR’s member station in Washington, D.C., she led and managed all aspects of on-air fundraising, and at The Intercept she developed and launched a mid-level giving program.

She has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Indiana University and a master’s degree in theater arts from The Ohio State University. She lives in Washington, D.C., with a couple of very fussy cats.
