Mona Alsaidi

NBCU News Group Race Equity in Journalism Fellow

Mona Alsaidi is the Reporters Committee’s NBCU News Group Race Equity in Journalism Legal Fellow, focusing on addressing the legal needs of journalists, reporters, newsrooms, and documentary filmmakers of color. Mona earned her law magna cum laude from Temple University Beasley School of Law. During law school, she served as the Lead Articles Editor for the Temple Law Review and interned for Judge Marjorie Rendell on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals as well as Brooklyn Legal Service’s Community and Economic Development practice.

Prior to law school, Mona worked in education. She graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Asian and Middle Eastern Cultures.
