Negassi Tesfamichael

Negassi Tesfamichael is a legal intern at the Reporters Committee. Negassi is a rising second year law student at Northwestern University, where he is a member of the school's Moot Court team and Black Law Students Association. Before law school, he was a local education reporter for the Cap Times in Madison, Wisconsin and an intern for the local CBS affiliate. A Milwaukee native, Negassi graduated with honors in 2018 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison while majoring in English and Political Science. He served as the managing editor of a student newspaper, The Daily Cardinal, and also completed an internship at Politico.
