After reading of a Texas plan to purge all gubernatorial e-mails after seven days, a concerned blogger in Wisconsin wrote the governor of Texas. John Washburn not only asked for an electronic copy of all e-mails over a four-day period, he programmed his computer to automatically repeat the request each week. The Texas governor’s office said in response it had disabled the purge equipment. (11/8/07)
